The MiProbE™ Sentry Microbial Sensor is our newly developed proprietary microbial sensor probe technology.
The sensor probe is combined with a Microbial Signal Processor™ and cloud-based analytics platform to monitor in real-time the microbial biofilm response to process changes in single and multi-stage aerobic or anaerobic bioreactor processes.
The technology also works in situations where biofilm sensor fouling prevents reliable ORP (Oxygen Reduction Potential) or DO (Dissolved Oxygen) sensor readings, and can work alone or in conjunction with these other sensors for process optimization. The MiProbE Sentry itself requires no regular maintenance or cleaning -- the biofilm is the active surface for the sensor probe.
The technology is currently being used for process monitoring and control in large-scale wastewater treatment, industrial-scale fish farming and remote environmental subsurface monitoring applications. The automated MiProbE™Sentry is a solar-powered, cloud-based, complete microbial sensor system with minimum setup and continuous process monitoring in any environment.
These rugged systems can be installed in-situ for both remote lagoon & pond monitoring or at high-throughput industrial facilities with minimal setup costs. Each Sentry comes with a 5-watt Solar Panel and heavy-duty backup battery.
Each Microbial Signal Processor System Board supports up to three MiProbE Sentry sensors, up to three Temperature Sensors, and up to two 4-20 mA sensors for specific needs.
Each system is provisioned with its own cellular modem and configured to upload to our cloud analytics platform for easy data access.
The automated MiProbE Sentry can be deployed for directly monitoring microbial processes in wastewater treatment plants from simple aeration ditches to activated sludge tanks and settling basins.
